This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished under previous ownership and acquired by the current owner in 2022. Work involved refinishing the car in red over black and installing a 454ci V8 as well as adding flared front and rear wheel arches, a stinger-style hood, power steering, a power brake booster, an MSD ignition system, a Champion aluminum radiator, long-tube headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and a Hurst shifter. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a black convertible soft top, 15″ turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a vertical push-button AM radio. This C2 convertible is now offered in Arizona at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean California title.
The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in Ermine White (972) and has been refinished in red. Exterior modifications include front and rear wheel arch flares as well as a stinger-style hood with 427 badging. Additional features include a black convertible soft top, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valence. The soft top shows evidence of prior repair where it meets the windshield frame, and additional imperfections are shown in the gallery below.
Turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/70 BFGoodrich redline radial tires. The car features a fully independent suspension with upper and lower control arms up front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Power steering and a power brake booster were added.
The interior underwent a color change to black under previous ownership. Amenities include a Hurst shifter, headrests, a heater, a vertical push-button AM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 1,200 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
A 454ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features Erson valve covers, a Weiand intake manifold, an MSD ignition system, and a Champion aluminum radiator. Long-tube headers flow into Flowmaster mufflers. Service in preparation for the sale included changing the oil and replacing the valve cover gaskets.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
