Original-Owner 1975 Chevrolet G10

This Midnight Black 1975 Chevrolet van is a short-wheelbase G10 that was acquired new by its owner’s husband from Philips Chevrolet of Benton, Kentucky. It was ordered with an LS9 350ci V8, a three-speed automatic, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. Its custom interior features shag carpeting, an eight-track stereo, a CB radio, swiveling captain’s chairs, a side-facing bench, and a platform bed. This G10 boogie van shows 71k miles, and it is offered by the seller with its 1975 invoice and a Kentucky title in the owner’s name.

The van was finished at the factory in Midnight Black, and it has a roof-mounted travel scoop, a bright grille, chrome bumpers, yellow fog lights, tinted bubble windows, a rear skylight, a receiver hitch, and a lower body kit with a front air dam, wheel arch extensions, and stainless-steel running boards.

The truck rides on a 110″ wheelbase with heavy-duty springs and a front stabilizer bar, and vacuum-assisted front disc brakes are paired with rear drums for stopping power. The Rocket Racing 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/60 Multi-Mile Grand Am Radial GT tires.

The swiveling captain’s chairs are trimmed in black upholstery with contrast stitching, while shag carpet lines the floors, door panels, pillars, dashboard, doghouse, and ceiling. Other details up front include air conditioning, an eight-track stereo, and an overhead CB radio.

The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and it fronts a woodgrain instrument panel. The 100-mph speedometer has a five-digit odometer showing 71k miles.

The rear cabin features ambient lighting, a side-facing bench, custom woodwork, dark curtains, and a platform bed over the cargo area.

Equipped at the factory with a four-barrel carburetor, the LS9 350ci V8 was rated when new at 165 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Some smoke following cold starts is reported by the seller, who notes some seepage from the engine and drivetrain.

The July 1975 invoice lists factory paint, equipment, and a Total of $5,084.
