1991 Audi 200 Quattro Avant Turbo 5-Speed

This 1991 Audi 200 20V Quattro Avant has received more than ~9k in service work since the seller acquired it, including a hydraulic-to-vacuum brake booster conversion, a rear differential reseal, shifter linkage service, rear brake work, replacement of the valve cover and throttle body gaskets, installation of an upgraded billet throttle cam, and replacement of a power steering hose. Service invoices since 2016 total approximately $16k, and the car was acquired by the seller on BaT in September 2021. Finished in black over tan leather, the wagon is powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter 3B 20-valve inline-five paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. Equipment includes forged 15″ BBS wheels, a locking rear differential, front and rear fog lights, roof rails, a rear spoiler, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a factory cassette stereo. Now showing 99k miles, this Type 44 is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and transferable Maine registration in the seller’s name

The bodywork is finished in black, and features include roof rails, front and rear fog lights, a sunroof, flared wheel arches, and a rear spoiler. Prior service records note corrosion repairs around the front fenders, replacement lower front fender trim, and replacement front wheel liners in 2021. A replacement rear wiper motor and rear wiper were installed in 2023. The seller notes corrosion at the lower tailgate, and the sunroof is currently inoperable. Close-up exterior images and paint meter reading photos are provided in the image gallery below.

Forged 15″ BBS wheels are mounted with Yokohama Avid Touring S tires that were installed in May 2021. The car retains internally mounted front brake calipers and front discs commonly known as “UFO” brakes. The front brake pad warning sensor connections and rear trailing arm bushings were addressed in 2021. EFI Motorsport performed a hydraulic-to-vacuum brake booster conversion in October 2023, at which time the brake, clutch, and power steering systems were bled. Rear brake work in 2025 included replacing the rear pads and rotors, freeing and cleaning the right-rear caliper bracket, rebuilding the left-rear caliper with a new piston and seals, and bleeding the system.

The heated and power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in tan leather, and wood trim accents the center stack, dashboard, and door panels. The driver-side window regulator was replaced, the shift boot was repaired, and the headliner was recovered under previous ownership. The air conditioning does not blow cold, and the system remains configured for R12 refrigerant. The cruise control is inoperable, one driver-seat height-adjustment switch does not work, and one courtesy light above the driver-side rear window does not illuminate. The cassette deck is said to work, though static is heard through the audio system while adjusting the volume.

The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. A trip computer is also fitted. The six-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 1,700 of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.2-liter 3B 20-valve inline-five was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2014, and the alternator belt and coolant-temperature-sensor O-ring were replaced in 2021. Work performed by EFI Motorsport in October 2023 included replacing the valve cover and throttle body gaskets. Throttle Garage addressed power steering leaks in 2025. EFI Motorsport installed an upgraded billet throttle cam, replaced a leaking power steering hose, installed a new battery, and changed the oil in August 2026.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, a Torsen center differential, and Quattro all-wheel drive with a driver-selectable locking rear differential. EFI Motorsport serviced the rear differential and rebuilt the shifter linkage in October 2023. Additional photos of the underside can be seen in the gallery.

Service records and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

The vehicle is being sold on its transferable Maine registration, which serves as the ownership document for vehicles of its age in the state.
