This 1987 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U1300L was said to have been used by the Swedish Fire Brigade and spent time in Germany before being imported to the US in 2023. It was listed on BaT in September 2023 and acquired by the seller on BaT in March 2025. The truck is finished in red over brown upholstery, and power comes from a 5.7-liter turbodiesel inline-six mated to an eight-speed manual transmission and a pneumatically actuated transfer case as well as locking front, center, and rear differentials. Additional equipment includes an enclosed utility box with roll-up doors along with an intake snorkel, a 20k-pound electric winch, a pump, a water tank, a ladder, a roof hatch, service lights, 20″ wheels, power steering, portal axles, and air brakes. Work under the seller’s ownership has included installing fire department graphics and LED lighting. Previously offered on BaT in July 2026, this Unimog U1300L is now offered again at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a cover, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in red and shows fading from previously applied vinyl. Work under current ownership included installing LED lighting, a backup camera, fire department graphics, and a ceramic coating, which is said to have been applied after the graphics. The truck is additionally equipped with an intake snorkel, roof-mounted spotlights, blue service lights, a roof hatch, checker-plate trim, extended mirrors, a water tank, and an untested pump. The front bumper has been modified to accept a larger 20k-pound electric winch. Front spotlights have been removed, and black tape has been applied over the mounting holes.

Black and white 20″ painted steel wheels are mounted with 335/80 Continental MPT 81 tires. The truck features hydraulic power steering, and air brakes are fitted.

The rear of the truck features an enclosed utility box with roll-up doors that provide access to storage compartments. The seller notes that the equipment shown in the photos is included in the sale.

The cabin features split seats upholstered in brown cloth, while the dashboard and door panels are finished in black. Additional equipment includes a heater, a glove box, and center storage compartments. The seller notes that an emergency light controller, a PA system, and a Bluetooth receiver were installed under current ownership, while the radio, loudspeaker equipment, and passenger seatback have been removed.

The two-spoke Mercedes-branded steering wheel frames a 100-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 30k kilometers (~19k miles), a handful of which were added by the seller.

The 5.7-liter diesel inline-six was fitted with a turbocharger under previous ownership in Sweden.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through an eight-speed manual transmission and a pneumatically actuated transfer case as well as locking front, center, and rear differentials. The transmission, portal axles, and differentials are said to have been serviced in February 2024.
