BaT at the Scramble with UK Local Partners—4 October at Bicester Motion

We’re heading back to the Bicester Scramble for the second time this year, and this time, we’ll be taking over Hangar 113 in partnership with our UK Local Partners Sports Purpose and Chase Classics! The Scramble is a can’t-miss semi-annual event that draws as many as 7,000+ spectators for the single-day happening. October’s edition will be held on Sunday, 4 October, and we’ll be there in the big hangar from 9:00am to 4:00pm with a display of cool single-seaters (among other things) and light refreshments.

Event Coverage: BaT at Bicester Scramble with Sports Purpose

Tickets for the final Scramble of 2026 are sold out, but if you’ll be attending, please come by and say hello. It will be a great opportunity to chat and talk shop with senior BaT staffers and see what we’ve been up to in the UK! Light bites and coffee will be available from the Airstream kitchen we’ll have on premises.

We’ll have a dizzying array of cool cars on view inside and out. Headlining the display will be the aforementioned single-seaters and other cars that celebrate the common ground BaT has found among automotive enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic. We’ll also feature several cars presently (or soon to be) up for auction on BaT, alongside a UK Alumni display.

Our first Bicester Scramble back in April was a blast—we met longtime BaT users, introduced ourselves to new petrolheads, and ogled the array of cars us Yanks never got on this side of the Atlantic.

From the organizer, Bicester Motion:

After celebrating the creation of RAF Bicester at the Scramble in April, the final Scramble of 2026 will mark half a century since the Royal Air Force Bicester closed its doors in February 1976.

It was also a stellar year for cars and ’bikes – James Hunt and Barry Sheene would end the year as world champions, and the Mercedes-Benz W123, BMW 6-Series, Lotus Esprit, Rover SD1 and Porsche 924 all hit the market. All will be celebrated on the Orchard Lawn at the heart of the venue.

Family entertainment will be provided by The Little Top, with more hands-on activities courtesy of the ever-popular Mini Landers and more.

October’s Scramble is cooking up to be a great time! If you live in or are planning to be in the UK, be sure to check the Bicester Motion Calendar for the next event.
