Custom 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe Two-Door Sedan

This 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe two-door sedan was purchased by the owner in 2006, and the subsequent custom build involved the installation of a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 linked to a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission and a fabricated 9″ rear end. The body was nosed and decked, and brandywine paint was applied after the door handles were shaved, the headlights were frenched, and 1961 Pontiac taillights were frenched into the rear quarter panels. Inside, power-adjustable front bucket seats are trimmed in red and beige letter and accompanied by a custom molded center console, a Lokar shifter, Vintage Air climate control, a tilt steering wheel, and Classic Instruments gauges. The chassis features a Mustang II-style front suspension assembly with power rack-and-pinion steering as well as power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and 15″ chrome-plated wheels wrapped in whitewall tires. Additional equipment includes rear fender skirts, ribbed aluminum bumpers, and a dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers. This custom ’50 Chevy is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Wisconsin title.

The body was painted in tri-coat brandywine following custom modifications in 2007. The car is nosed and decked, and it features frenched headlights, tunneled and vertically-oriented ’61 Pontiac taillights, shaved door handles, ribbed aluminum bumpers, and rear fender skirts as well as a 1954-style grille with additional “teeth”. A power-operated antenna is frenched into the right-rear quarter panel, and the rear license plate is mounted on a vacuum-operated flip-down bracket.

The car has a Mustang II-style front suspension assembly with power rack-and-pinion steering as well as power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The chrome-plated 15″ wheels wear chrome baby-moon hubcaps and are wrapped in Coker Classic whitewall tires.

The The custom-trimmed cabin houses front power-adjustable low-back bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red and beige leather along with coordinated door panels and red carpeting with embroidered floor mats. Appointments include a fabricated center console with woodgrain trim, a Lokar shifter, Vintage Air climate control, a JVC stereo, and power windows.

The billet-style steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a Classic Instruments gauge cluster consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for voltage and oil pressure. Gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature are mounted in the center console. The six-digit odometer shows 1k miles have been added since the build.

The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was installed in 2007, according to the seller, and is topped with a custom engine cover painted to match the body with vinyl Corvette lettering. The firewall has been smoothed, and the aluminum radiator is accompanied by an electric fan.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear axle. Coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers. A battery cut-out switch and charging terminals are accessible under the trunk floor behind the right-rear wheel.
