26-Years-Owned 1992 Volvo 240 Wagon 5-Speed

This 1992 Volvo 240 wagon was purchased by the seller in 2000, and its 2.3-liter inline-four received a replacement timing belt and drive belts in 2026 along with additional maintenance as detailed below. Finished in Tropical Green over beige cloth, the wagon is is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a front spoiler, power steering, 14″ steel wheels with aerodynamic covers, cruise control, air conditioning, a cassette stereo, a CD changer, a rear cargo barrier, and power windows. This 240 wagon is offered at no reserve with a car cover, two keys, manufacturer’s literature, a seller-provided clean AutoCheck report, a damage-free Carfax report, and a Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Tropical Green (412) and features a front spoiler, a rear window wiper, a right quarter panel extractor vent, mudguards, and black mirror caps and window trim.

The 14″ steel wheels feature aerodynamic covers and are mounted with Bridgestone Blizzak tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering as well as a MacPherson strut front suspension and a live rear axle carried by longitudinal control arms and torque rods with coil springs. Stopping is provided by power-assisted front and rear discs. The ABS light is illuminated, and the right front lower ball joint was replaced in 2026.

The front bucket seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in beige cloth, and interior appointments include a cassette stereo, a Pioneer CD changer, a rear cargo barrier, power windows, cruise control, and air conditioning. The seller adds that the air conditioning is working.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 168k miles, approximately 87k of which were driven under current ownership. The odometer stopped working this year, per the seller. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in October 2013, which notes that it may be due to the result of a clerical error.

The 2.3-liter inline-four was factory rated at 114 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. The exhaust system and catalytic converter were replaced in 2018, and the timing belt and tensioner, power steering belt, A/C belt, alternator belts, and the battery were replaced in 2026. The car most recently passed a Massachusetts state vehicle safety and emissions inspection in September 2026.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The clutch was adjusted in 2026. Photos showing the condition of the underside components are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage and lists the aforementioned October 2013 mileage entry. A clean Experian AutoCheck report from August 2026 is provided in the gallery below.

The Massachusetts title is listed as a duplicate.
