1999 GMC Suburban K2500 SLT 7.4L 4×4 at No Reserve

This 1999 GMC Suburban K2500 SLT 4×4 is finished in Pewter Metallic over Ruby leather and powered by a 7.4-liter Vortec V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear differential. Equipment includes side-hinged rear cargo doors, 16″ five-spoke steel wheels, a Nakamichi touchscreen head unit, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, front- and rear-cabin air conditioning, and power windows. Purchased by the seller in 2014, this GMT400 Suburban shows 196k miles and is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in Pewter Metallic and features chrome bumpers, body-color wheel arch flares, running boards, window visors, roof rails, a rear wind deflector, a receiver hitch, rear privacy glass, side-hinged rear cargo doors, and skid plates. A heated windshield washer fluid system has been installed. The seller tells us that the grille and front bumper were repaired after the truck rear-ended another vehicle at a low speed. The left side mirror auto-dimming fluid has leaked, the right side mirror heating and power-adjustability functions do not work, and areas of rust along the lower edges of the body are pictured in the gallery below.

The 16″ five-spoke steel wheels were mounted with 245/75 Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT tires in November 2021. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The front sway bar end links were changed in June 2021, the rear shocks were replaced in November 2021, and the power steering fluid was flushed in June 2022. A power steering fluid line was changed in October 2022, and the front wheel bearings and brake rotors were replaced in October 2023. The left front CV axle and front ball joints were replaced in November 2024, and the brake hoses were changed in May 2025. The parking brake does not work.

The heated power-adjustable front captain’s chairs and second- and third-row bench seats are upholstered in Ruby leather and accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a center console, an overhead console, a trailer brake controller, and a Nakamichi touchscreen head unit with a backup camera and Android Auto as well as cruise control, front- and rear-cabin air conditioning, and power windows. USB ports have been added to the dashboard and center console, and 12-volt outlets have been added to the center console and rear cargo area. The air conditioning compressor was replaced in June 2023, and the rear evaporator and lines were changed the following month. The driver’s seat heating element operates intermittently, there are cracks in the front seat upholstery, and the power locks and rear window defrosters do not work. A piece of the right rear cargo door panel has broken off, and the seller says that the rear floor panel is cracked and sagging.

The leather-wrapped tilting steering wheel is equipped with an airbag and frames a 100-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 196k miles, approximately 98k of which were added under current ownership. The seller says that the service engine soon light illuminates intermittently on warm starts and attributes the issue to a low-voltage ignition module circuit code.

The 7.4-liter Vortec V8 features a block heater and was rated at 290 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque when new. The ignition module and distributor cap, coil, and rotor were replaced along with the spark plugs and ignition wires in March 2023. The fuel pump was changed in May 2023, and the fuel tank and battery were replaced in June 2025. The oil was most recently changed in August 2025, and a coolant leak was repaired in December 2025. The seller tells us that the service engine soon light illuminates due to a system too lean code when using gasoline with higher ethanol content. There is a parasitic draw on the battery, and the under-hood light does not work.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear differential. The fluids for the transmission, transfer case, and differentials were changed in March 2024, and the mufflers and tailpipes were replaced in August 2024. There is some rust on the undercarriage, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.

The Carfax report is free from accidents or other damage.
