1996 Ford F-350 XL Power Stroke Dually Brush Fire Truck 4×4 5-Speed at No Reserve

This 1996 Ford F-350 XL is a dually 4×4 pickup that was acquired new by the Oregon Department of Forestry and used by them until it transitioned to service for the Knappa Svensen Burnside Fire District of Astoria, Oregon, in 2006, and the same fire chief operated it at both departments. It remained in active service until 2026, when it was purchased by the seller. The Harbor Truck Bodies utility body is outfitted with a power takeoff-powered water pump, a 250-gallon water tank, a power-reeling hose, and storage lockers, and additional emergency equipment includes a light bar and a Federal intercom. Power is provided by a turbodiesel 7.3-liter Power Stroke V8 linked with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential. This F-350 has been driven 98k miles and is now offered at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a commercial California title in the seller’s name.

The truck was configured as a chassis cab from the factory, and a Harbor Truck Bodies utility body has been fitted. It features a power takeoff-powered water pump, a 250-gallon water tank, a power-reeling hose, a rear spotlight, and a rear step with an integrated receiver hitch as well as diamond-plate accents, storage lockers, and multiple inputs and discharges. There is a dent on the front-right storage box.

The truck is finished in Oxford White (YZ) with a yellow side stripe and Knappa Svensen Burnside Fire District door graphics. Further equipment includes a headache rack holding a Gall’s Traffic Buster light bar and an auxiliary antenna as well as a Hubbell outlet, side steps, roof clearance lights, and front mud flaps. The siren does not work.

The 16″ four-hole steel wheels are mounted with Mazama tires that show date codes from 2024 and were installed in February 2026. The front axle has manually locking hubs, and the truck is equipped with a dually rear axle.

The regular cab features a bench seat trimmed in Royal Blue vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Other interior details include a Federal PA300 intercom, a fire extinguisher, an AM/FM radio, auxiliary knobs, and air conditioning.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 98k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.

The turbodiesel 7.3-liter Power Stroke V8 was factory rated at 215 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque. The truck is equipped with dual fuel tanks. The batteries were replaced in October 2023, the PCM was replaced in April 2025, and the fuel pump and right-side valve cover gasket were replaced in July 2026.

Power is sent to the rear or all six wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential with 4.10:1 gears. The clutch pack was replaced in March 2019.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

The truck is registered as Planned Non-Operation in the state of California.
