This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Rally Sport coupe was purchased by the seller on BaT in January 2025. Work under current ownership included installing an air conditioning system, an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, an aluminum radiator, replacement shocks and springs, and a retro-style stereo as well as replacing the tires, thermostat, alternator, valve cover gaskets, and belts. Finished in Fathom Green over green vinyl, the car is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is further equipped with power-assisted steering, front disc brakes, 15″ Rally wheels, a PosiTraction differential, a chambered dual exhaust system, concealed headlights, a cowl-induction hood, and a Hurst shifter. Delivered new to Doug McCurdy Chevrolet of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and previously offered on BaT in July 2026, this Z/28 RS is now offered again at no reserve with service records, a 2023 Jerry MacNeish report and Certificate of Authenticity, an NCRS shipping data report, removed components, and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The body was factory-finished in Fathom Green with white stripes and was repainted during a refurbishment in the 1990s. A clear ceramic coating was applied to the exterior under current ownership. The Rally Sport package added a revised grille and concealed headlights as well as reverse lights beneath the rear bumper. Additional equipment includes a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, dual exhaust outlets, rear bumper guards, and both Z/28 and Rally Sport badging. The windshield, antenna, driver-side mirror, grille, bumpers, front spoiler, fender moldings, rocker and quarter panel trim, door edge guards, and taillight bezels were replaced under previous ownership. The headlight washers do not work.

Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels wearing bright trim rings and center caps are wrapped in 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were mounted in March 2026. A full-size spare tire is stowed in the trunk. Replacement springs and shocks were installed in July 2025. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in green vinyl during a 2018 interior refresh. Additional work at that time included replacing the dash pad, door and side panels, sun visors, and carpeting, which is protected by green rubber floor mats. Simulated woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console. An air conditioning system, a Bluetooth-capable retro-style stereo, and replacement JL Audio speakers were installed since the previous auction.

A reproduction woodgrain steering wheel fronts an AC 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,000-rpm redline, and an analog clock. Auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage are mounted in the center console ahead of the Hurst shifter. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 42k.

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 290 horsepower and features a hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft and a Gardner chambered dual exhaust system. Under current ownership, a custom power distribution box and an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold were fitted, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan was installed, and the thermostat, air cleaner, alternator, ignition assembly, distributor, spark plugs, battery, valve cover gaskets, and belts were replaced.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a PosiTraction differential and a 3.73:1 final gear ratio. The clutch kit, fork boot, and flywheel ring gear were replaced and the flywheel was resurfaced in November 2024.

The chassis number is consistent with a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe built at the Norwood, Ohio, assembly facility with a V8 engine. The Fisher body tag decodes as follows:
