This 1931 Ford Model A was modified as a sedan delivery-style hot rod before it was acquired by the seller in 2011. The steel body was refinished in black with gold graphics and mounted to a 2×4″ box-tube steel frame. The car is powered by a 425ci Buick nailhead V8 linked with a TH400 automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear axle, and it rides on a dropped front I-beam axle, hairpin radius rods, and a transverse front leaf spring, along with rear radius rods, buggy springs, and shocks. Additional equipment includes 15″ Radir tri-rib wheels, front disc brakes, a 12-volt electrical conversion, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a tilt-out windshield, green-tinted plexiglass roof and side windows, and a Nova-sourced tilt steering wheel. This Model A hot rod is offered with spare parts and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The steel body was modified under prior ownership in the style of a sedan delivery and refinished in black with insecticide-inspired gold “Black Flag” door decals and “Kills Bugs Dead” rear lettering. Further elements include a top-hinged rear tailgate, a 1932 Ford-style grille shell, green cowl lights, a tilt-out windshield, a green-tinted plexiglass roof panel and side windows, and an oak roof frame with steel shims. Close-up photos of the paint and bodywork are provided in the gallery.

Radir 15″ tri-rib aluminum wheels are wrapped in Firestone bias-ply wide-whitewall tires, and the seller recommends replacing the rear tires due to wear. The vehicle rides on a 2×4″ steel box-tube frame with a Super Bell dropped front I-beam axle, hairpin radius rods, a transverse front leaf spring, front shocks, a steering damper, and rear radius rods paired with buggy springs and shocks. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features a Dodge Caravan-sourced bench seat upholstered in burgundy vinyl, and further elements consist of expanded metal interior side panels, a wood-slat rear cargo floor, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, and a wooden rear seat.

A tilt column and steering wheel reportedly sourced from a Chevy II Nova front a black dashboard with centrally mounted instrumentation. A Sun speedometer is mounted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, and the true mileage is unknown.

The 425ci Buick nailhead V8 was installed in 2010, according to the seller, and it features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a scoop-style air cleaner, Offenhauser finned aluminum valve covers, an electric cooling fan, a polished overflow tank, and tubular headers with block-off plates. Rust and thinning metal on the headers is noted in the photos.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, and the seller notes that the 9″ rear end has a limited-slip differential and 3.91:1 gears. Service in August 2026 included replacing the transmission input shaft seal, transmission pan cork gasket, and rear axle seals, per the seller.

The car is titled in Massachusetts as a 1931 Ford Model A Sedan using the VIN A4635367, which is displayed on the plate above. The title lists a mileage of 167,654.
