350-Powered ’29 Ford Roadster 4-Speed

This ’29 Ford Model A roadster is powered by a Chevrolet 350ci V8 topped with an Edelbrock carburetor and linked with a Tremec four-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end. The Brookville all-steel body is finished in black over burgundy upholstery and rides on 1932-style frame rails with steelies, wishbones and ladder bars, a drop axle, and transverse leaf springs. Additional equipment includes Wilwood front disc brakes, lap belts, a Bluetooth stereo, and a Hurst shifter. The seller purchased the car in 2021. This Model A is now offered with a Colorado title in the seller’s name listing the car as a 1929 Ford.

According to the seller, the car was meticulously built by a local California builder using an all-steel Brookville body mounted on a 1932-style frame. A chrome spreader bar is used up front, and the steel body is finished in black and features a tilt-out windshield and a 1932-style grille shell. The seller notes paint marks from trailering that are visible only upon close inspection.

Whitewalls are mounted on the red-painted steelies. The suspension features a dropped front axle, wishbones up front, ladder bars out back, and Pete & Jake’s rear shocks. Braking is handled by Wilwood front disc brakes and rear drums. Service performed during the summer of 2025 included tightening the steering rack and replacing the brake fluid. The seller states that concerns noted during a July 2025 inspection—including steering clearance, parking brake adjustment, and other minor issues—have since been addressed.

The cabin features burgundy upholstery that has been covered with a Mexican-style blanket covers. Interior appointments include lap belts, a Hurst shifter, a Bluetooth stereo with an under-dash Sony speaker, a trunk-mounted fuel tank, and a Shop 48 Vapor Trapper system.

A banjo-style steering wheel is mounted to a dropped steering column and fronts Stewart-Warner instrumentation including a 90-mph speedometer and five-digit odometer. The odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes wear on the steering wheel.

The Chevrolet 350ci V8 was installed as part of the build and features an Edelbrock carburetor, finned aluminum valve covers, ram’s horn manifolds, MagnaFlow turbo mufflers, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan controlled by a manual switch, leather hood straps, and a newer battery. Service completed during the summer of 2025 included an oil and filter change and coolant flush along with straightening the oil pan, replacing the oil pan and valve cover gaskets, and addressing previously noted coolant leaks and timing adjustments.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec four-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″  rear axle. The seller states that the transmission was flushed during the summer of 2025 and that a previously noted transmission leak has been repaired.

The car is titled as a 1929 Ford using VIN A2128714. The title lists the odometer reading as Exempt.
