This 1971 BMW 2002 was purchased as a barn find with the intention of building a race car according to the seller, who believes it had previously been prepared for rally use. Modifications include a fiberglass turbo-style widebody kit, BWA Sportstar wheels, a Weber carburetor, a wrapped header, an adjustable rear sway bar, a stripped interior with a roll bar and a MOMO steering wheel, European-style headlights, auxiliary lights, and a custom instrument cluster. The car retains a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the seller reports that the braking system and the pedal box were both recently rebuilt.
