42k-Mile 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet 6-Speed

This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was purchased in 1999 by the seller, who has since added ~35k to its 42k miles shown. The car has spent time in California, Idaho, and Utah, and it is finished in Arena Red Metallic over gray leather upholstery. Powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, it features a gray soft top, 17″ Cup II wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, a remote six-disc CD changer, cruise control, and air conditioning. This 993 Carrera cabriolet is offered with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Arena Red Metallic and features a power-retractable gray soft top as well as headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Stretch marks are noted on the sides of the soft top, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The chrome 17″ Cup II wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxy tires. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The brake hoses were replaced in 2024.

The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in gray leather and complemented by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a cassette stereo, a remote six-disc CD changer, cruise control, and air conditioning.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 35k of which were added under current ownership.

The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. An engine-out reseal service is said to have been completed, along with the replacement of the ignition components. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle.
