1999 Mercedes-Benz S500 Grand Edition

This 1999 Mercedes-Benz S500 Grand Edition sedan was purchased by the seller in 2015 and has since been driven 25k of the 71k indicated miles. The car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 linked with a five-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic over Parchment leather. Equipment includes a sunroof, xenon headlights, 18″ AMG Monoblock alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, a CD stereo, an electric rear-window shade, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system. This V140 S500 sedan is now offered in New York with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic (197) and features a power-operated sunroof, double-pane side glass, soft-close doors, and xenon headlights with wipers and washers. The power antenna does not work.

The 18″ AMG Monoblock alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires. The car was factory equipped with an Electronic Stability Program. Braking is handled by a ventilated rotor at each corner. The brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2024, per the seller.

The seats are upholstered in Parchment leather, while burl walnut wood trim accents the cabin. Amenities include heated power-adjustable front seats with position memory as well as a CD stereo, an electric rear-window shade, a Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. The Grand Edition package added black-stained birdseye maple wood trim, rear side window shades, and illuminated door sills. A rear window regulator was replaced in 2024. The sunroof sunshade felt has deteriorated.

The leather- and wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, instant fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. The engine mounts, belts, spark plugs, and filters were replaced, and a coolant change was performed in 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
