This 1967 Mercury Cougar is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and is finished in Caspian Blue over Aqua vinyl. The car was repainted approximately 19 years ago in its original color and has since received four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ American Racing alloy wheels, an aluminum radiator, an Edelbrock intake and air cleaner, MSD ignition, a replacement heater core, and a replacement dual exhaust system with headers. The current owner purchased the car in 2023 and has since added approximately 7,000 miles. This Cougar is now offered by a BaT Local Partner with a window sticker, service records, spare parts, shop manual, owner’s literature, and a clean California title.

The car was delivered in Caspian Blue according to the window sticker and features concealed headlights, sequential rear turn signals, a driver-side mirror, and chrome trim. The body was repainted approximately 19 years ago in its original color, and chips are noted in the finish.

The 15″ American Racing alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires. The car has been converted to four-wheel disc brakes and has aftermarket front shocks. A rotor and both rear pads were replaced under current ownership, and the right-rear caliper was replaced in May 2026. The axle press bearing was also replaced in May 2026.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Aqua vinyl. Interior equipment includes a custom center console with cupholders, a CD radio, and aftermarket speakers.

The steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and multi-gauge instrumentation. An Equus Pro tachometer is mounted separately, along with AutoGage auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership.

The 289ci Cougar V8 was factory equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and rated at 200 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. It has been fitted with an Edelbrock intake and air cleaner, painted Moroso valve covers, an aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, and a gear drive in place of the timing chain. The heater core was replaced in April 2025, and the intake-manifold gasket was replaced in June 2026.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. The rear axle and seal were replaced, and the clutch pedal was adjusted after the pedal was noted to sit too low; the clutch itself was not replaced. A replacement dual-exhaust system is fitted.

The window sticker lists that the car was delivered by Evered Motors Inc. in Bellevue, Washington, and the bill of sale documents a sale on May 8, 1967.

Included in the sale is a collection of service records, spare parts, a shop manual, and owner’s literature.
