1984 Volvo 245 GLT Turbo Wagon at No Reserve

This 1984 Volvo 245 GLT Turbo wagon is said to have remained with a single owner in California from new until 2003, and it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in February 2018. Repainted in Sandstone Metallic with custom pinstriping, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-four that has been modified with higher boost pressure and a custom-built turbo-back exhaust system. The car rides on black-finished 15″ Virgo wheels, and the suspension features Boge front struts, Bilstein rear shocks, and IPD sway bars. Inside, the 1992 Volvo 245-sourced front bucket and rear bench seats have increased bolstering as well as replacement beige fabric and black vinyl upholstery, and include cruise control, power windows, a 1992 245-sourced center armrest with cup holders, and a cassette stereo. Work under current ownership involved recharging the air conditioning refrigerant, replacing the spark plugs and ignition wires, installing a replacement distributor cap and rotor, and changing the oil and tires. This 245 is offered on behalf of the owner by AdamsMotors, a BaT Local Partner, with service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and an Idaho title in the owner’s name.

The car was repainted in Sandstone Metallic (437) with custom pinstriping under previous ownership, and tinting film has been applied to the windows. Exterior details include a rear window wiper, a right quarter panel extractor vent, mudguards, and black mirror caps and window trim.

Black-finished 15″ five-spoke Virgo wheels were mounted with BFGoodrich tires in September 2026, after the photos were taken. Stopping is provided by power-assisted discs. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a MacPherson strut front suspension, and a live rear axle carried by longitudinal control arms and torque rods with coil springs, and the car was fitted with IPD sway bars, Boge front struts, and Bilstein rear shocks under previous ownership.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat were sourced from a 1992 Volvo 245, and the bolsters were modified before being reupholstered in beige fabric with black trim under previous ownership. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a 1992 Volvo 245-sourced center console with cup holders, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The air conditioning refrigerant was recharged under current ownership, and the driver-door window was serviced in September 2026. A carpeted mat sits atop the dashboard, which has visible cracks.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 152k miles. A potential odometer rollback is noted in a June 2018 entry on the Carfax report.

The turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-four was modified with an oil- and water-cooled Garrett T3 turbocharger producing approximately 10psi of boost, a Magnaflow 49-state catalytic converter, and a 2.5″ turbo-back exhaust system under previous ownership. Work under current ownership is said to have included changing the oil, replacing the spark plugs and ignition wires, and installing a replacement distributor cap and rotor.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive top gear. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.

The Carfax report displays the aforementioned June 2018 potential odometer rollback.

The Idaho title is a duplicate, and it displays “0 Exempt” in the Odometer Reading section.
