This 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL550 is one of 550 50th Anniversary Editions, all of which were finished in Pewter Metallic over Cognac Brown Exclusive leather. They were configured with 18″ split-five-spoke wheels, bi-xenon headlights, corner-illuminating fog lights, Keyless Go, heated and ventilated Active seats, Black Ash wood interior trim, and edition-specific floormats. This example was acquired by the seller in 2007, and it now has 11k miles following history in South Carolina and Tennessee from new. The 50th Anniversary Edition was produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 300SL Roadster. Each was finished in Pewter Metallic (723) and equipped with bi-xenon headlights and corner-illuminating fog lights as well as a power-folding hardtop.
The 18″ split five-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car features Active Body Control (ABC) suspension as well as an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Automatic Slip Control (ASR).
The Anniversary Edition trimmed the cabin in Cognac Brown Exclusive leather as well as Black Ash wood, and equipped it with heated and ventilated Active seats, Keyless Go, and 50th Edition-script floor mats. Additional features include dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, a CD changer, and a Bose sound system.
The wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles, most of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.5-liter M273 V8 was factory rated at 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced and an oil change performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.
