1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe

This 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe had a refurbishment that was completed around eight years ago, per the seller, who acquired it in 2023. The car is finished in Porcelain White over a Plum interior, and it features power steering, power brakes, power windows, and Comfortron automatic climate control. Power comes from a 425ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle. Work under current ownership has included rebuilding its carburetor along with replacing brake and ignition components. This Toronado Deluxe is offered with refurbishment records and a Kentucky title in the seller’s name.

The body was finished at the factory in Porcelain White (X), and it was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior features include pop-up headlights, frameless door glass, and flared wheel arches. Flaws around the vehicle are pictured in close-up photos shared in the gallery below.

The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is from power-assisted drums that are said to have been replaced in 2023, at which time the brake booster was rebuilt. The 15″ 10-hole steel wheels wear hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 thin-whitewall tires.

The seats are reupholstered in Plum vinyl and cloth. The cabin has color-keyed seatbelts and carpets, power windows, Comfortron automatic climate control, and a push-button AM radio, which is not working, nor is the air conditioning.

The steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-and-telescoping column, and it fronts a barrel-style 135-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the seller, who reports that the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.

The 425ci Rocket V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 385 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, which is routed to the front wheels through a TH425 three-speed automatic transaxle. The carburetor was rebuilt in 2023, per the seller.

Additional photographs of the underside are shown at the end of the gallery.
