1960 MG MGA 1600 Roadster

This 1960 MGA 1600 Mk I roadster is powered by a 1,588cc inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over tan upholstery. Equipment includes a beige convertible top, wind wings, a luggage rack, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a wood dashboard, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, lap belts, a Sony CD stereo, dual SU carburetors, and an auxiliary electric cooling fan. This MGA was purchased by the seller in October 2026 and is now offered with a driver’s handbook, a workshop manual, a tool kit, a jack, and a New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in red, and exterior equipment includes a manually retractable beige soft top, a bright body-contour grille, a badge bar, fender-mounted side mirrors, wind wings, an aftermarket radio antenna, a rear luggage rack, and bright front and rear bumpers with overriders.

Silver-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 155R15 Firestone F-560 tires. The vehicle is equipped with an independent front suspension with coil springs and hydraulic dampers as well as a rack-and-pinion steering system. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The bucket seats are trimmed in tan upholstery and are accented by a color-coordinated center armrest and door panels. The dashboard is made of burl wood and houses a Sony CDX-GT55UIW CD stereo. Other interior appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a wood shift knob, a map light, a heater, door-panel map pockets, lap belts, black carpeting, and rubber floor mats.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles. True mileage is unknown.

The 1,588cc B-series inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 80 horsepower. An auxiliary electric cooling fan has been added.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The New Jersey title lists “107,000” and an abbreviation for “actual mileage” under the Mileage heading, although the odometer has only five digits and shows 7k miles. The title also lists the car’s Body Type as “wagon”.
