1972 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette is an orange-on-black coupe that is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was refinished and the cabin was refreshed prior to the seller’s 2020 acquisition, and work since then has involved replacing the windshield, dashboard panel, alternator, starter, battery, brake master cylinder, and shocks, as well as rewiring the rear lights. The car rides on 15″ Rally wheels and is equipped with removable roof panels, disc brakes, retractable headlights, and an AutoSound retro-look Bluetooth head unit linked to Pioneer speakers. This C3 Corvette is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory in Ontario Orange (987) and underwent a color change at some point before being repainted orange under prior ownership. It has pop-up headlights, twin front grilles, fender vents, quadruple taillights, and dual rectangular exhaust outlets. A replacement windshield was installed in 2023.

The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 tires. The brake master cylinder and shocks have been replaced under current ownership.

The cabin houses bucket seats that were trimmed in black leather prior to the seller’s acquisition. The carpets, lap belts, and rearview mirror were also replaced at that time, while interior trim panels were repainted and the door panels were reconditioned. Under current ownership, a Custom Autosound retro-look head was added and linked to Pioneer 6×9 speakers located behind the seats. The neutral saftey switch was also replaced. The air conditioning and windshield wipers do not work.

An aftermarket wrap covers the three-spoke steering wheel, which frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while an ammeter, non-functioning clock, and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 3,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 200 horsepower. An Edelbrock carburetor was installed prior to the seller’s acquisition, and the alternator, starter, and thermostat housing gasket have been replaced since. The battery was replaced in December 2024.

The engine block stamping is shown above.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The replacement exhaust system is equipped with Flowmaster mufflers.
