This 1975 Porsche 914 was acquired by the seller in 1983, and in 2002 it was modified with a 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 crate engine that uses FAST electronic fuel injection, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads, MSD electronic ignition, a remote electric water pump, a custom exhaust, and a custom cooling system that allows for the use of both trunks. The engine is linked to a reinforced Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle. The car is further equipped with the Appearance Group Package, a removable black Targa top, and fog lights in addition to 15″ EMPI GT-8 wheels installed by the seller. Finished in Silver Metallic over black vinyl and red patterned cloth seat upholstery, this 914 is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual and a Wyoming title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Silver Metallic and features a removable black Targa top, black sail panels, a driver-side mirror, pop-up headlights, and fog lights that were included with the optional Appearance Group Package. The fenders were rolled and flared, the body was repainted in its original color, and the rear trunk was modified to accommodate the V8 conversion while retaining storage space for the roof panel, per the seller, who notes that both the front and rear trunks remain usable for storage due to the placement of the cooling system underneath the car. The right-front parking light is inoperative.

The 15″ EMPI GT-8 wheels are mounted with 195/60 Goodyear Eagle Sport tires. Braking is handled by discs at all four corners. A brake-fluid flush and bleed were performed in June 2026.

The cabin features two-way adjustable bucket seats in black vinyl with red patterned cloth inserts. The driver’s seat lower cushion was recently reupholstered, and excess upholstery material accompanies the car. The stereo has been removed and an aftermarket shift knob has been installed. The original shift knob is included with the car. The seller notes a blemish on the passenger-side seat vinyl, an inoperative clock, exposed wiring atop the dashboard from a previously installed radar detector, and that the factory interior heating system was not retained during the V8 conversion.

A leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a fuel-level gauge. Additional gauges are mounted in and to the right of the console. The five-digit odometer shows under 73k miles, approximately 8,200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 crate engine was installed in 2002 and is equipped with FAST electronic fuel injection, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads, MSD electronic ignition, custom “Porvette” valve covers, a remote electric water pump, radiators mounted beneath the car and behind the front bumper, and a custom exhaust with Dynomax mufflers. The seller states that the engine has accumulated approximately 5,000 miles since the conversion. Service completed in June 2026 included an oil and filter change, a coolant flush with thermostat replacement, a brake-fluid flush and bleed, and installation of a replacement alternator.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a reinforced Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle.
The car is titled as a 1975 Porsche roadster in Wyoming.
