LQ4-Powered 1979 Chevrolet C10 Pickup at No Reserve

This 1979 Chevrolet C10 pickup was fitted with a 6.0-liter LQ4 V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller on BaT in April 2026. Work since that time involved overhauling the lowered suspension with a Ridetech kit, installing a 7″ Holley digital dash display, and replacing the transmission pan gasket, radiator, dash pad, power steering pump, and various brake components. Wearing faded brown paint, the truck rolls on 20″ Detroit Steel wheels and is further equipped with a Holley Terminator X ECU, a Brian Tooley Racing camshaft, a Trailblazer SS intake manifold, a 92mm throttle body, long-tube headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and dual electric cooling fans. This modified C10 is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, spare parts, and a Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in faded brown paint, and Poppy’s Patina satin clearcoat has been applied to the body. Details include a Fleetside bed, a chrome front bumper, a rear step bumper, a receiver hitch, and Bonanza and Big 10 badging.

Cream-finished 20″ Detroit Steel wheels are wrapped in Toyo tires, the right-rear of which was replaced in 2026. The truck rides on a lowered Ridetech suspension system featuring a front sway bar, revised front control arms, Fox rear shocks, and a frame C-notch kit. Additional work under current ownership included replacing the power steering pump, steering rag joint, and the brake master cylinder, front calipers, pads, and soft lines.

The bench seat is upholstered in Camel vinyl and wears a patterned seat cover, and the dash pad and sunvisors were replaced under current ownership. A Holley Terminator X module is stationed in the glove compartment, and an Audiovox cassette stereo has been installed. The seat bottom is torn.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 7″ Holley EFI digital dash display showing 48 miles, and an Equus fuel level gauge is mounted below the dashboard. The factory five-digit odometer is located behind the Holley display and shows 46k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 6.0-liter LQ4 V8 was installed in 2023 under previous ownership and has been fitted with a Holley Terminator X ECU. Additional equipment includes a Trailblazer SS-style intake manifold, a Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft, a 92mm throttle body, LS2 fuel rails and injectors, PAC Racing valve springs, long-tube exhaust headers, and “862” cylinder heads. Service under current ownership involved replacing the radiator and front main seal.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH350 automatic transmission. A custom dual side-outlet exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers is installed, and service under current ownership involved changing the fluids and replacing the transmission pan gasket.
