This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle was purchased by the current owner in 1968 and was refreshed in 2023 following approximately a decade of storage. Work included replacing the brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, ball joints, tie rods, and fuel lines along with performing a valve adjustment and tune-up. The car is finished in black over black leatherette and is powered by a replacement 1.5-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, an AM radio, lap belts, and front bucket seats. This Beetle is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with the window sticker, the owner’s manual, a hand-written maintenance log, and a clean Washington title.

The car is finished in black and was repainted some time ago. The seller notes several imperfections and swirls in the finish.

The 15″ steel wheels feature black centers, white lips, and VW-stamped hubcaps, and they are mounted with 165/ 80 Classic All Season Radial tires that show date codes from 2009. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. The brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and lines were replaced in 2023 along with the upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, and steering damper.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black leatherette, while the door panels are trimmed in red. A Blaupunkt AM radio is housed in the body-color dash. The driver-side visor clip is broken.

The two-spoke steering wheel wears a lace-up cover and fronts a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and shows 48k miles.

The replacement 1.5-liter flat-four was installed in 2001. Recommissioning in 2023 involved installing electronic ignition, performing a valve adjustment, and replacing the spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and sump plate. Oil seepage is noted from the engine case and sump plate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The CV boots are cracked and there is corrosion on the underside and in the front trunk. A hole in the heater box was welded in 2023.

The window sticker shows the factory options and a total suggested retail price of $1,830.
