This 1963 Austin Mini Countryman is a left-hand-drive example that was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and was the subject of a multi-year refurbishment completed in 2024. Work included the installation of a 1,275cc A+ inline-four, a replacement four-speed manual transaxle, and front disc brakes as well as a repaint in Speedwell Blue, replacing the exterior wood trim, and upholstering the interior in tan leather with plaid cloth seat inserts. Additional features include 10″ steel wheels, a wood-rimmed Mountney steering wheel, an Ash wood dashboard panel, and replacement Smiths instrumentation. This Mini Countryman is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.

During the aforementioned refurbishment, the body was refinished in Speedwell Blue with a white roof, and replacement wood trim sourced from Woodies of Chichester in the United Kingdom was installed. Exterior details include a wavy grille, body-color front wheel arch extensions, dual side mirrors, and barn-style rear doors.

Silver-finished 10″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Falken Fk-07E tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes with four-piston front calipers, stainless-steel hoses, and a tandem master cylinder. The seller tells us replacement springs and shocks have been installed.

The left-hand-drive cabin has been reupholstered in tan leather with blue plaid cloth seat inserts in addition to replacement carpets and trim panels. A wood-rimmed Mountney steering wheel is mounted to a lowered column and sits ahead of an Ash wood dashboard panel. Additional amenities include a cabin heater, three-point front seatbelts, and an extended-range driver seat bracket.

Replacement Smith instrumentation comprises a centrally positioned 130-mph speedometer with an inset fuel level gauge, a tachometer mounted ahead of the driver, and auxiliary readouts for water temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 25 miles, which indicates the mileage covered since the build was completed.

The replacement 1,275cc A+ inline-four was sourced from Mini Mania and is equipped with an SU carburetor and a Mini Spares intake manifold. Power is routed to the front wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that was installed during the build.
