350-Powered 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was produced at General Motors’ Oshawa, Ontario, facility and was acquired by the seller’s spouse in 1994. Subsequent refurbishment work involved refinishing the car in “Chokecherry Black”, refreshing the black vinyl upholstery, and installing a replacement 350ci V8 that was rebuilt in 2024. The engine is linked with an overhauled 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 3.55:1 rear axle. Additional equipment includes 18″ Budnik billet wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air climate control, a Panasonic CD stereo, a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, and ceramic-coated Hooker headers. This Chevelle Malibu is located in Canada and offered with a Protect-O-Plate, a removed cowl tag, records, spare parts, a car cover, and Manitoba registration in the name of the seller’s spouse.

Finished in “Chokecherry Black”, the body was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Details include a raised-cowl hood, quad headlights, LED taillights, quarter vent windows, and black emblems. The bumpers were painted to match the body, while the window surrounds, door handles, wiper arms, and exterior trim were powder-coated black. A misalignment on the right side of the trunk lid is noted, and replacement trunk struts are required.

Chrome 18″ Budnik billet wheels are mounted with 245/45 Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The vehicle rides on front and rear coil springs with blue-finished front control arms and an aftermarket steering box.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl. Appointments include Vintage Air climate control, a center console with an analog clock, a floor shifter, a Panasonic CD receiver, and aftermarket rear deck speakers.

A Budnik billet steering wheel sits ahead of a column-mounted tachometer and a horizontal 120-mph speedometer. AutoMeter bowtie-logo gauges displaying voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are mounted beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 33k miles and has rolled over. Approximately 27k of which were added under current ownership.

The 350ci V8 is said to be a ZZ3 crate unit, and machining and assembly work performed in August 2024 by Ken’s Kustom Auto Machine Ltd. included resizing the connecting rods, ball-honing the cylinders, and installing Clevite 77 rod and main bearings, Hastings piston rings, and Silv-O-Lite pistons. Further details include aluminum cylinder heads, a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, a chrome alternator cover, and ceramic-coated Hooker exhaust headers. The hood opens on Eddie Motorsports billet hinges, and the battery was recently replaced.

The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission was overhauled and fitted with a Billet Specialties oil pan in August 2023. The 10-bolt rear end has 3.55:1 gears, per the seller. The transmission was rebuilt in August 2023.
