427-Powered 1973 Ford Bronco 5-Speed

This 1973 Ford Bronco was the subject of a multi-year custom build that was completed in 2024, and additional work following the seller’s acquisition on BaT in June 2025 involved installing a 427ci stroker V8 and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The fuel and cooling systems were also refreshed, a proportioning valve was added to the four-wheel disc brake setup, and the differential, transfer case, and driveshafts were serviced. The revised bodywork was previously finished in grey, and other build details include a custom roll cage, Premier Racing Products seats, and a Holley Terminator X engine management system. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers as well as 17″ Dirty Life wheels wrapped in 37″ Nitto tires, and it is further equipped with tubular bumpers, steel rock panel guards, a Warn winch, manually locking front hubs, Baja Designs auxiliary lighting, LED headlights, and Classic Auto Air climate control. This modified Bronco is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name,

The Audi-specification shade of Nardo Grey is said to have been used during the refurbishment work, at which time a revised hood, fenders, quarter panels, and doors were fitted. Additional work involved replacing the grille, windshield frame, hardtop, and doors. The truck is equipped with tubular bumpers, yellow-tinted Baja Design auxiliary lights, a Warn VR Evo winch, LED headlights, and custom rocker panel guards that were tied into the frame.

Beadlock-capable 17″ Dirty Life wheels are mounted with 37×12.5″ Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires, and a matching spare is stationed on the rear carrier. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers, and the front axle is equipped with Warn manually locking hubs. Braking is provided by discs at all four corners, and a proportioning valve was added under current ownership.

The cabin houses Premier Racing Products seats that are trimmed in black vinyl with microsuede inserts and orange piping, and PRP racing harnesses have been fitted for each occupant. A custom-fabricated roll cage has been added along with a Hurst shifter, Classic Auto Air climate control, a Switch Pros SP-9100 switch panel, a Bluetooth-capable receiver, aftermarket audio speakers, and a fire extinguisher.

An NRG Innovations steering wheel with a yellow centering stripe is affixed to a quick-release hub. A Holley electronic fuel injection module is mounted to the center of the custom-fabricated dashboard, and it displays a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 538 miles. Total chassis mileage is unknown.

The 427ci stroker V8 was installed in 2026 and has Air Flow Research cylinder heads. Other components installed or replaced as part of the work include an MSD ignition system, the fuel tank, fuel injectors, accessory drive system, radiator, starter, long-tube headers, and exhaust components.

A Tremec five-speed manual transmission was installed as part of the work completed under prior ownership. Gaskets for the dual-range transfer case were also replaced, the rear differential was serviced, and the driveshafts were balanced. The truck is fitted with 4.11:1 gearing.

The frame stamp is shown above. The truck is titled in California as a 1973 Ford using VIN U15GLR64758, which corresponds to a 1973 Bronco U-100 Wagon. Another VIN on the vehicle cannot be located.
