1973.5 Porsche 911T Coupe 5-Speed

This 1973.5 Porsche 911T coupe was purchased new in Connecticut and has reportedly remained in the same family for the last four decades. It was repainted red in the early 1990s, and more recent work in the last five years has involved replacing the clutch, flywheel, sway bar bushings, tires, brake master cylinder, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets. The car is powered by a 2.4-liter flat-six equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and linked with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes fog lights, 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, adjustable seats, a cassette radio, and an aftermarket steering wheel. This 911T is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the owner’s manual, service records, and a South Carolina title in the owner’s name.

The car received a color change to red in 1991, at which time a replacement right front fender, left quarter panel front section and door jamb, and front suspension pan were installed. Patches were welded under the battery box, and additional metal repairs were carried out in the right quarter and left jack support areas.

The 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels were mounted with 185/70 Vredestein tires in 2022. The car was factory equipped with ventilated disc brakes at all four corners, which were serviced in 2010. The sway bar bushings were replaced in 2024.

The adjustable seats were reupholstered in tan leather and replacement beige carpets were installed in 1991. A previous aftermarket air conditioning system was removed in 2008, and an AM/FM/cassette radio is fitted in the stock location. The shifter bushings were replaced in 2020 and a replacement hand throttle lever was installed in 2024. There is a crack in the dash and wear on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat.

The aftermarket four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and shows 41k miles, approximately 40k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.4-liter flat-six was factory equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was rebuilt in 1987. MSD ignition was added in 2018, and work in 2021 involved replacing the oil return tubes, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets. A replacement battery was installed in 2024. An oil change was performed and the engine lid strut was replaced in 2026.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and rear main seal were replaced in 2021. A replacement fuel level sending unit was also installed.

The South Carolina title lists “Actual Mileage” under the brands section.
