47k-Mile 1989 Ford Taurus SHO 5-Speed

This 1989 Ford Taurus SHO was featured on BaT in April 2018, sold in October 2021, and was later acquired by the current owner in 2022. Power is provided by a 3.0-liter V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and the car is finished in Light Titanium Clearcoat Metallic over Titanium leather. Features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, 15″ basketweave wheels, fog lights, and SHO-specific bumpers and side cladding, as well as cruise control, keyless entry, and front sport seats. Now showing 47k miles, this Taurus SHO is offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The body is finished in Light Titanium Clearcoat Metallic, and the SHO featured revised bumper covers and side cladding along with debossed SHO emblems. Exterior details include fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and a keyless entry pad.

The 15″ basketweave wheels are mounted with Kumho Solus TA11 tires, and braking is handled by anti-lock disc brakes at all four corners. The car came equipped from the factory with front and rear stabilizer bars.

The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in Titanium leather, and amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, front sport seats, cruise control, and power windows and locks. The air conditioning does not blow cold.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership.

The Yamaha-sourced 3.0-liter V6 features dual overhead camshafts and was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt was replaced in 2018, and the battery was replaced in 2026.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch was replaced in 2020.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.
