This 1972 BMW 2002 was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and subsequently underwent a rotisserie refurbishment that involved a repaint, a top-end engine refresh, suspension and brake work, and more as detailed below. The car is finished in orange over black upholstery and is powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a retrofitted limited-slip differential. Further equipment includes Hella auxiliary lights, Bilstein dampers, 13″ Turbine-style wheels, and a Blaupunkt radio. This “roundie” 2002 is offered on consignment by the selling dealer—a BaT Local Partner—with service records and a clean North Carolina title.

The coupe was disassembled and the body was placed on a rotisserie as part of the refurbishment, which included bodywork, rust repairs, a repaint, and replacement of various exterior components.

Finished in orange, the car wears Hella auxiliary lights up front and has round taillights out back. Additional details include dual side mirrors, pop-out rear quarter windows, and chrome bumpers with guards.

The suspension and brakes were overhauled in the course of the project. The 13″ Turbine-style wheels are mounted with Kumho Solus tires, and the car is equipped with Bilstein rear shocks, polyurethane bushings, and power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The interior is appointed with black vinyl upholstery, salt-and-pepper carpets, and woven floor mats. Further details include a Blaupunkt radio, a heater, and a wooden shift knob. The seller notes a tear in the driver’s seat.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer was serviced by North Hollywood Speedometer at the time of the refurbishment. True mileage is unknown.

The 2.0-liter M10 inline-four received a top-end overhaul during the refurbishment, and the seller notes that the wiring harness was refurbished.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A 3.64:1 limited-slip differential was installed during the refurbishment.
