Single-Family-Owned 1969 Triumph TR6

This 1969 Triumph TR6 was acquired new by the seller’s father-in-law and was registered to him in California until ownership passed to the seller’s father in 2024, at which point the car was relocated to Indiana. Finished in Jasmine with a white soft top over Chestnut vinyl, the car is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ wire-spoke wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a cabin heater, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Under current ownership, the tires have been replaced, and the brakes, suspension, and rear axle have been overhauled. This TR6 is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Indiana title in the current owner’s name.

The body is finished in Jasmine and features a white convertible top and top boot, as well as LED auxiliary light bulbs. The windshield wipers do not work, and the seller notes touch-up spots on the paint.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with Toyo Extensa A/S II tires that show production date codes from 2025 and 2026. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The seller tells us that under current ownership, the brakes and suspension have been rebuilt with a replacement brake master cylinder, cables, hoses, front ceramic pads, and rear cylinders and shoes as well as wheel bearings, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, and front shocks.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Chestnut vinyl, and interior appointments include a wood veneer dashboard, a heater, a Kenwood CD stereo, and a wood gearshift knob.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The dashboard dimmer switch is nonfunctional.

The 2.5-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory-rated at 104 horsepower and 142 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a Laycock A-Type overdrive. In the last year, the axle shaft bearings, hub assemblies, drive axle U-joints, differential mounts, pinion oil and axle seals, and the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced, per the seller.

The Indiana title notes “Exempt/Exempt” under the Odometer/Brand heading.
