The 2026 Gas Monkey Garage Collection—CLOSING TODAY!

10/29 Update: The Gas Monkey Garage Collection is closing today starting at 10:30am Pacific/1:30pm Eastern. The full list of auctions is below, or head to the @Gas_Monkey profile page to watch them all count down in real time!

Four years after the first Gas Monkey Garage Collection, Richard Rawlings (@Gas_Monkey) is back to list another sweeping assemblage of American iron, with a handful of German machines tossed in for good measure. A few of the cars even found their way to Richard through BaT in recent years, and many are being offered without reserve!

All 16 auctions will begin on October 22. A preview of the cars from the latest Gas Monkey Garage continues below:

1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Coupe 383 4-Speed

First up is a big-block notchback ’68 Barracuda sporting the Formula S package. It’s one of 252 coupes equipped with the 383ci V8 for the model year, just 154 of which also came with a four-speed manual gearbox. Other details of the Formula S package include an anti-sway bar and Firm-Ride shock absorbers, which period literature said allowed the car to “take corners with gyroscope sureness.”

1,033-Mile 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe and 1,600-Mile 1987 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

These next two cars show little more than break-in miles, starting with a 1,033-mile 1968 Ford Mustang. Dennis Collins (@cbjeep) found and documented the history on this Highland Green coupe, which was apparently purchased by the original owner to one-up her mother and her Maverick. Passive-aggressive car purchases—we’re here for them! The spec is pure economy, with a 200ci inline-six backed by a three-speed automatic, and the Ivy Gold interior is kept cool by dealer-installed air conditioning. The 1987 Chevrolet Corvette is a BaT Alumnus and another sub-2k-mile car, showing 1,600 miles on the odometer after remaining with its original owner and their family until 2023.

Custom 1978 Dodge Tradesman B200 Maxivan 440

This customized 1978 Dodge Tradesman B200 Maxivan, dubbed “Ulysess,” features airbrushed scenes from Homer’s epic by artist and customizer Mike Pierce, who also added hand-carved woodwork inside to match. The van wandered the show circuit from 1978 to 1982 before heading into long-term storage until the early 2020s. It was recently recommissioned and won the Flying Eagle award at the 48th Van Nationals in 2021. The details are fantastic, and there’s even a nice antenna mast to tie oneself to should the call of the sirens prove too alluring.

1957 BMW Isetta 300

This 1957 BMW Isetta 300 was refurbished by a previous owner and placed in a California collection before landing with Rawlings in 2023. The car is powered by an air-cooled 298cc single to help coax it through its reverse-sweep 60-mph speedometer.

2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG

This 2005 SL65 AMG is for those who require an occasional show of force with their grand touring, boasting over 600 horsepower. Richard acquired it on BaT in December 2023.

1974 Volkswagen Thing

Rounding out the German offerings is this stanced 1974 Volkswagen Thing featuring a textured green finish, EMPI 15” wheels, driving lights, and a luggage rack on the nose.

41k-Mile 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 IROC-Z

The IROC-Z, built on the Z28 starting in 1985, paid homage to the International Race of Champions and featured a front spoiler and rocker panels, a louvered hood, upgraded suspension components, and oh-so-’80s graphics. This 1985 Z28 IROC-Z remained with its original owner until 2025, accumulating 41k miles.

1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT 4×4 4-Speed

Representing the pickup category is this 1979 F-150 4×4 featuring a replacement 351ci V8 that was installed following Rawlings’ purchase in 2024. The crew has since overhauled the interior, the air conditioning system, and the suspension. Other details on this dentside Ford include front disc brakes, power steering, a limited-slip rear differential, and 35” General tires.

1959 Mustang Model 8DV and 1963 Mustang Thoroughbred

A Mustang motorcycle is not quite as small as a scooter, but not quite as large as a conventional bike. The lineup dates back to the late 1940s, when John Gladden of Gladden Products saw an opportunity for a small, lightweight motorbike following World War II. These two examples each represent an upgrade for their respective times: the Stallion Model 8 features a four-speed Burman gearbox and an almost-whopping 11 horsepower, while the Thoroughbred gained a swingarm, a dual seat with under-seat storage, and a bump to nearly 13 horsepower.

1958 Cushman Eagle and Assembled Cushman Model 52

Capping off the diminutive two-wheelers are these two Cushmans. The first is a 1958 Eagle that was gifted to the current owner in December 2020, while the second is a Model 52 reportedly assembled by the current owner using Cushman components. Both are being sold on dealer consignment.

Double-Sided Illuminated Harley-Davidson Sign, Illuminated Harley-Davidson Sign, and Metal Cadillac Sign

A trio of large signs includes two illuminated Harley-Davidson signs and a Cadillac marquee made up of individual sign letters weathered to near perfection.
