This white-over-brown 1949 Ford F-1 pickup was refurbished under prior ownership and is said to have remained in a collection prior to the seller’s 2007 acquisition. The 239ci V8 was subsequently fitted with Offenhauser cylinder heads and dual Stromberg carburetors, and additional features include a three-speed manual transmission, Fenton headers, a dual exhaust, a wood-accented tailgate, wood bedside extensions, chrome bumpers, a dual exhaust, and body-color steel wheels. The truck was first listed on BaT in November 2023, and the seller tells us that work since then has included fitting copper oil lines and replacing the spark plugs and ignition wires. This F-1 pickup is now offered with an operator’s manual, removed parts, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

Launched in 1948, Ford’s original F-series design featured a one-piece windshield, fender-mounted headlights, and a five-bar grille with integrated indicator lights. The truck was painted white under prior ownership, and the 6.5′ box is outfitted with bedside extensions, a wood-accented tailgate, and a wood floor with metal runners.

Body-color 16″ steel wheels wear bright trim rings, Ford-branded hubcaps, and Allstate whitewall tires. The seller reports the suspension and drum brakes were refreshed under prior ownership.

The bench seat is retrimmed in brown vinyl and accompanied by a color-coordinated headliner, sun visors, door panels, and carpets.

A three-spoke steering wheel wears a lace-up rim cover and sits ahead of a body-color metal dashboard housing a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 250 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 239ci flathead V8 was fitted with Offenhauser cylinder heads and dual Stromberg carburetors during current ownership, and is further equipped with Fenton headers, a dual exhaust, and a 12-volt electrical system. Work since 2023 is said to have included installing copper oil lines, replacing the ignition wires and spark plugs, and changing the oil.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission.

The removed cylinder heads, intake manifold, and carburetor will accompany the truck.

The truck is titled using the sequence 98RC436358, which omits the “AT” stamped on the plate above.
