This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was initially delivered to Walters Auto Sales and Service, Inc. of Riverside, California, and it was acquired in 2004 by the seller, who has since added 8k of the 57k miles shown. Service in 2021 included adjusting the ignition timing and replacing the fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, and spark plugs for the 5.5-liter V8, as well as the shifter bushings for the four-speed automatic transmission. The air conditioning system has been converted to use R134a refrigerant, and additional features include a limited-slip differential, a brown soft top, a removable hardtop, chrome-plated 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, fog lights, electric windows, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Finished in Desert Taupe Metallic over Cream Beige leather, this R107 is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, the owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Desert Taupe Metallic (441) and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a brown convertible soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes quad headlights, fog lights, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. The seller notes that paint touch-up on the driver-side fender and passenger-side quarter panel occurred under previous ownership. A ding is noted on the front bumper chrome, and the power antenna does not work. Detailed photos of the exterior imperfections are presented in the gallery below.

The chrome-plated 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels show wear and are mounted with Michelin Premier A/S tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. A brake fluid flush was performed in December 2021.

The two bucket seats are upholstered in Cream Beige leather (275), and interior features include an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning system was converted to use R134a refrigerant, and the system was serviced in December 2021. The stereo does not work.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. A December 2021 service included adjusting the ignition timing, performing a coolant flush, and replacing the fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and hood insulation pad.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The shifter bushings were replaced in December 2021, and transmission and differential fluid flushes were performed at that time.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Walters Auto Sales and Service, Inc. of Riverside, California, as well as factory colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $65,810.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.
