This 1989 BMW 325i convertible was purchased in 2024 by the seller, who subsequently installed an Ireland Engineering exhaust system, a short shifter kit, a Z3-specification steering rack, H&R lowering springs, and Koni dampers. Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six linked to a five-speed manual transmission, it is finished in Salmon Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes 14″ bottle cap alloy wheels, a removable hardtop, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, integrated fog lights, front sport seats, a Continental stereo, cruise control, power windows and locks, an onboard computer, and R134a-based air conditioning. This E30 convertible is offered with spare parts, service records dating back to 1997, a damage-free Carfax report, and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Salmon Silver Metallic (203) and is equipped with a black-finished removable hardtop, a front air dam with integrated fog lights, ceramic window tint, and a Yakima roof rack. Photos of the soft top condition and exterior finish can be seen in the gallery below.
The 14″ bottle cap alloy wheels are mounted over spacers and wear Starfire Solarus tires. A Z3-specification steering rack has been installed, along with Koni adjustable dampers and H&R lowering springs. Stopping is accomplished via ventilated front and solid rear anti-lock disc brakes. The power steering rack and control arm bushings were replaced in 2021, and the tie rods, brake fluid, and power steering fluid were replaced in 2025.
The front sport seats have been reupholstered and are trimmed in black leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. A carpeted cover sits atop the dashboard, and a fire extinguisher is mounted beneath the passenger seat. Amenities include cruise control, power windows and locks, an onboard computer, a Bluetooth-capable Continental stereo, and air conditioning, the latter of which has been overhauled with a replacement compressor, condenser, drier, fan, hoses, and other related parts and converted to utilize R134a refrigerant. The seat adjustment shocks have been replaced, and the left rear window switch was replaced in September 2026, per the seller. The hardtop headliner is sagging, and the front headrest clips are detached.
The M-Technic II steering wheel frames a replacement instrument cluster with a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 125k miles, and the seller states that actual mileage is approximately 149k. Approximately 11k miles were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.5-liter M20B25 inline-six features fuel injection. Under current ownership, the valves were adjusted, the coolant and oil were changed, and the following components were replaced:
- Fuel pump
- Fuel tank
- Timing belt
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Spark plugs
- Fan clutch
- Drive belts
- Engine mounts
The battery has been relocated, and rust repairs were performed around the battery tray. The seller tells us the coolant level sensor was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket short shifter kit with a Double Shear Selector Rod (DSSR) has been fitted, along with an Ireland Engineering cat-back exhaust system. The shifter bushings and shifter lever boot were replaced, and the transmission fluid and differential fluid were changed under current ownership.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage and lists the aforementioned September 2020 and February 2025 potential odometer rollbacks.
