This 1968 Ford Mustang convertible was initially delivered to Todd Hedge Ford of California, Missouri, moved to California in 1969, and was reportedly stored from 1987 until 2023. The current owner acquired the car on BaT in December 2023. Power is provided by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and the car is finished in Lime Gold over two-tone Ivy Gold vinyl. Details include a white convertible soft top, 14″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, hood vents, front bucket seats, and air conditioning. The car is finished in Lime Gold (I) and features a white convertible soft top, a tow ball, hood vents, and chrome bumpers. The right quarter panel is said to have been refinished, the rear bumper and left rear quarter panel are dented, and evidence of respray is reported around the vehicle. The front bucket seats and a rear bench are upholstered in Light Ivy Gold and Medium Ivy Gold vinyl, and tears and imperfections in the upholstery can be seen in the gallery. Appointments include a floor-mounted shifter and Ford-branded sill plates. The air conditioning does not blow cold.
The steering wheel is cracked and frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership. The total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 was factory rated at 195 horsepower, and service in 2023 is said to have included rebuilding the carburetor, cleaning the fuel tank and lines, and replacing the fuel pump, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires. Corrosion is noted on the underside of the hood.
