This Doran JE-1 was built for use in Sports 2000-class competition, and it was first raced in 1992. The car was sold the following year to an owner in Ohio who drove it in more than fifty events over the following two decades, and it was used sparingly by its next steward before the current owner’s purchase in 2022. Power comes from a 2.0-liter Ford inline-four linked to a Staffs four-speed manual transaxle, and the aluminum monocoque chassis rides on a nik-link suspension with adjustable coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and center-lock wheels. The right-hand-drive cockpit is outfitted with a fire-suppression system, and other highlights include a roll bar, a front splitter, and a rear spoiler. Last raced in 2023, this JE-1 is now offered by the seller on the owner’s behalf in Pennsylvania with an SCCA logbook, extra wheels, spare parts, and a bill of sale.

The composite bodywork is finished in red with white numerals, and the front and rear clamshells are secured with quick-release fasteners. The rear wheels are enclosed, and other details include a front splitter, an air intake scoop, an aluminum rear spoiler, and side NACA ducts. Paint chips and other blemishes around the car can be viewed in the image gallery below.

The nik-link suspension employs inboard-mounted adjustable coilovers all around.

Center-lock 13” multi-piece wheels have gold-finished centers and are wrapped in Hoosier slicks. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with dual master cylinders.

The right-hand-drive cockpit features a single racing seat with Racetech cushions. A fire-suppression system has been installed. The Crow harness expired in 2024.

The Alpha steering wheel is mounted to a quick-release hub and sits ahead of clocked instrumentation consisting of a Stack tachometer and AutoMeter gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. The car does not have an odometer.

The 2.0-liter Ford inline-four is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor, a dry-sump lubrication system, and a Crane Cams Fireball XR3000 ignition module. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Staffs four-speed manual transaxle.

A seller-provided history documenting the car’s ownership will accompany the car along with an SCCA logbook.

Extra body panels are included in the sale along with spare structural components, multiple sets of wheels and tires, and other items on a seller-provided list that is presented in the gallery.

A number stamping on the roll bar is shown above.
The vehicle lacks a standard VIN, is not legal for road use, and carries no title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale.
