This 1979 International Harvester Scout II Traveler is said to have been in storage in Arizona for over a decade when it was purchased by the seller in 2018, and it shows 39k miles. The truck was repainted and fitted with later-model BMW heated and power-adjustable front seats under current ownership, and it is powered by a 304ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes black-finished 15″ wheels, a black grille and bumpers, manually locking front hubs, a roll bar, and a retro-style stereo. This Scout II Traveler is offered with a removed front bench seat and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The Scout II Traveler was introduced for the 1976 model year and featured a Traveltop-style body with a 118″ extended wheelbase. This example was repainted light blue and white under current ownership and is equipped with black bumpers, dual side mirrors, and round headlights.

Black-finished 15″ wheels were mounted with Cooper tires circa 2018. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The power-adjustable and heated front seats were removed from a later-model BMW car. Additional appointments include a folding rear bench, three-point front seat belts, a roll bar, and a retro-style stereo.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and gauges for temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 22k of which were added under current ownership.

The 304ci V8 sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
